Mist
The Dust Extinsion Moisture (DEM) of any material is that moisture where the material stops generating dust.
The Raring Corporation uses Mist systems to spray plain water at the truck dump hoppers to increase the material moisture and controlling the dust generation downstream. It is the first stage where we can spray water to increase the material moisture and works together with Conditioning Systems to uniformly raise the ore moisture to its DEM level. In some cases, will be beneficial to add chemical dose to lower water surface tension in an attempt to control the dust generation at a coarse ore stockpile. Mist is normally applied on the Truck Dump Pockets in combination with Dry Fog to reach different goals.
