There are ambient conditions that could cause freezing problems. Each system that has the potential of freezing will get the freeze protection package on all systems.
We normally consider 3 forms of Freeze Protection:
1. Constant Air Purge to keep the nozzle from freezing.
2. Insulation. We pipe insulate all water lines
3. Heat trace. We heat trace all water lines. The heat circuit is activated at 40 Deg F. (5 deg c)
Applying these strategies correctly will help our dust suppression systems to work properly under extrely cold environments.
